Jacket Back Embroidery Guide
Full-back designs are a different scale entirely from a chest logo — here's what's standard.
Standard size
| Design type | Typical size |
|---|---|
| Full back print (adult) | 12" wide × 14–16" tall |
| Adult center back design | up to 14" × 11.25" |
| Team crest / large graphic back | up to 10" × 12" |
Vertical placement: for jacket backs, center the design about 9–10 inches down from the back collar seam.
Heads up on our resizer tool: the "jacket" preset in our Apparel & Embroidery Resizer defaults to a 4.25" frame — that's sized for a small jacket logo placement (like a small nameplate or chest hit on outerwear), not a full back design. For a true full-back size like the ones above, don't use that preset — size the artwork manually in your digitizing software at the dimensions in the table, or use the Embroidery Size Converter to convert your target inches to mm/px and get a stitch estimate first.
Stitch count matters more at this size
A full back design at 10,000+ stitches takes real run time per piece — get a stitch estimate from your actual artwork before quoting a job at this scale using the Embroidery Size Converter.
