Why we built this
Full, certified PDF/A conversion needs specialized desktop software with ICC profile embedding and formal ISO 19005 validation, which cannot be done reliably in a browser tab. Instead, this tool standardizes the document's metadata (title, author, dates, producer) and re-saves the file with a clean internal structure, which is what most people actually need before archiving a document. It is not a substitute for certified PDF/A software if you are submitting to a legal, government, or regulatory system that requires formal PDF/A validation.
This is a best-effort archival prep tool, not a certified PDF/A-2B validator. For regulatory or legal filings that require certified PDF/A compliance, use dedicated desktop software.
